Ubuntu in VPS Servers
With all of our Linux VPS plans, you can choose the Ubuntu Operating System on the order page. We recognize the fact that some programs have specific requirements in terms of the Operating System they can be installed on, which means that you are able to choose from the 32-bit and the 64-bit version of Ubuntu. In addition, you can choose whether your VPS should include our Hepsia Control Panel or no Control Panel at all. In the first case, you will find everything you'll need pre-installed - MySQL, email server, FTP, etc. software, and you're able to make everything via your online browser, yet the root access will be limited; whereas in the second case, you will receive Ubuntu as well as the Apache server software only, which means that you will be able to set up anything freely thanks to the full root access that you will be given, yet the server management tasks will be done through a console. Our sysadmins will keep track of your VPS and update the Ubuntu installation on a weekly basis when you add the additional Managed Services package that we offer.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
Ubuntu is one of the Operating System options that you'll find on our order page when you decide to obtain one of our dedicated web hosting plans. We can install the 32-bit or the 64-bit release, to match the system requirements of the applications that you'd like to install on the server. You can also select the software that will operate on your machine, since we will set up only the Apache web server software, so everything else can be custom-made software of your choice. You can set up the latter without problems employing a Secure Shell console, because you'll receive root-level access and you'll get full control over your hosting server. You are free to install a hosting Control Panel as well and manage some things via a graphical interface, as long as it can work on an Ubuntu-driven machine. To make things simpler for you, we also provide a Managed Services upgrade, that, among other things, comes with Operating System updates.
