Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME domain extension is the single TLD intended for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered 3rd-level domain names remained functional.

Through our company, you can purchase your dot NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. There are no special prerequisites on who can register a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
